Service Dogs
Service dogs are dogs who have been trained since they were puppies to aid people with special needs. They are trained to be responsible and caring of their owner. Service dogs can be found in therapist's offices, in hospitals or even at private residences where they work solely with one owner. In cases where service dogs work with only one owner, typically this is a person who cannot live by themselves. They may be blind, deaf or have another type of disability that prevents them from going on with their lives. In these situations, service dogs are a great assett in both coping with an illness and companionship.
