Save The Animals!
2016 started with many endangered species, and six endangered now critically endangered species that remain on the list from previous years. This, is not good. Here are some ways YOU can help save these poor animals before it's too late.
Donate The easiest, and perhaps most effective method of helping the animals is through donation, below are some direct links to great sites where you can donate money to helping provide a safe environment for the endangered animals.

Volunteer Volunteering is a more time consuming, yet very effiecent way to help the animals. When volunteering you can be sure that you are helping, and you can feel like your helping! Most local animal shelters in your area will except volunteers, some will even except young adult volunteers as well! Below are some great places where you can volunteer, or find a shelter near you that accepts volunteers:

Adoption or Fostering
Adopting or fostering is a big desicion. You have to be sure that you are able to make a commitiment to a cat, dog, bird, fish or whatever else the animal may be. Adoption is a huge responsibility, you have to walk dogs (and some types of cats!) you have to be able to afford to feed your pet every day one to three times a day, you must be able you clean your pets living environment. If you're getting a dog, cat, or anything else that might be roaming around the house, you have to be sure there isn't anything dangerous lying around for your pet to eat. You have to be patient enough to not get mad when a pet destroys, pees on, or sits on, something, you must be able to afford veternarian care to all pets, and you have to be able to love your pet. Fostering a pet is a nice first step for aspiring pet owners. It is easier financially then adoption, since most shelters will provide food, veternary aid, and other essentials, however you have to still provide shelter, love, commitment, and other such things. You must also be prepaired to say goodbye to a foster pet at any moment, so don't get to attached, yet love them all the same! Fostering and Adoption are both major life choices, which can really help our furry friends in need. So if you feel that you are ready for either of them, I encourage you, go for it!
